Maybe you’re handling your responsibilities while quietly feeling disconnected from yourself. Maybe you love your partner, but miss feeling understood, wanted, or close. Or maybe something needs to change, and you’re ready to say that out loud.

I’m Nneka Wooten, LCSW, MPA, founder of It’s Complicated Consultation Services. I work with individuals and couples who want space to be honest about their lives, relationships, and intimacy, including the things that feel uncomfortable to admit.

I show up as my authentic self because I want you to feel comfortable doing the same. I bring my personality, compassion, and directness into our work, making room for you to be honest, let your guard down at your own pace, and feel accepted as you are.

My style is warm, direct, and engaged. I ask thoughtful questions, make room for difficult feelings, and help you look at patterns that may be keeping you stuck. We can acknowledge what you’ve been through while getting curious about how you want to move forward.

We can talk about resentment. Desire. Betrayal. Grief. Boundaries. The exhaustion of always being the strong one. The loneliness of being beside someone and still feeling far away. You can speak honestly here, even when it’s hard to find the words.

As a Black woman and therapist, I value care that makes room for your culture, identity, relationships, and lived experience. My practice is sex-positive, LGBTQ+ affirming, and welcoming of diverse relationship structures, including polyamory.

I also offer coaching and divorce mediation for people seeking support with personal goals or relationship transitions.
